The Sri Krish Chess Club, organized by Sri Krish International School, proudly presents the Inter School Open Chess Tournament – 2026. This tournament provides young chess enthusiasts from schools across Tamil Nadu an opportunity to showcase their talent, compete with the best, and gain valuable tournament experience under FIDE rules.
Whether you’re an aspiring champion or taking your first step into competitive chess, this event promises an exciting day of strategy, learning, and sportsmanship.

Age Eligibility
- Under-7: Born on or after 01 January 2019
- Under-9: Born on or after 01 January 2017
- Under-11: Born on or after 01 January 2015
- Under-13: Born on or after 01 January 2013
- Under-18: Born on or after 01 January 2008

Boys
- Top 15 players in each category receive trophies.
- Three youngest boys receive special glittering cups.
Girls
- Top 10 players in each category receive trophies.
- Three youngest girls receive special glittering cups.

Tournament Format
- Open exclusively for Tamil Nadu school students.
- Latest FIDE Rules will be followed.
- Swiss System tournament.
- Time Control: 20 Minutes.
- Latest AICF Tiebreak rules will be applied.
- Chief Arbiter’s decision will be final.
Important Information
Participants are requested to:
- Bring their own chess board and chess pieces.
- Carry their International Chess Rating Card (if applicable).
- Produce proof of age for children’s category events.
- Report before 8:30 AM on tournament day.
